Who I am
Northbridge Studio is the trading name of Ivaylo Stanimirov Kolev, a freelance web developer registered in Bulgaria (BULSTAT +359877077025), Dupre Cl Chafford Hundred Grays RM166RA. I decide how the personal data described here is used, which makes me its “controller” under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.

What I collect, and why
- Contact form: your name, email address, website address, what you need help with and your message. I use these to reply to you and, if you ask, to prepare a quote. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries. The form emails your message to my inbox; the website itself does not keep a copy.
- Emails you send me: whatever you choose to include, for the same purposes.
- Clients: contact, project and billing details, to deliver the work and keep the records accounting and tax law require. Legal basis: the contract, and legal obligation.
- Analytics, only if you accept them: Google Analytics records the pages you visit, roughly where you are (country or city), and your device and browser type. I use it to see which pages help people. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page.
- Server logs: my hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP addresses and browser types to keep the site secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Who I share it with
I never sell your data. It is only handled by the services that run this business:
- Hostinger: website hosting and email.
- Google: Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK and EEA, for example in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision (such as the UK-US data bridge or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to work: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
- Client records: for as long as accounting and tax law requires ,currently 10 years in Bulgaria.
- Analytics data: Google keeps it for 14 months, the retention set in my Google Analytics account.
Your rights
You can ask me to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how I use it, or send it to you in a portable format. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email contact@northbridgestudio.co.uk and I will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK (ico.org.uk) or to Bulgaria’s Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg). I would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
